Qualitative Identification of Gaseous Combustion Products – Ποιοτικός Προσδιορισμός Καυσαερίων
This experimental demonstration involves the combustion of a gaseous hydrocarbon, in particular butane. Qualitative identification of gaseous combustion products is as follows. Initially, we pump the gaseous products of combustion, over anhydrous copper (II) sulfate to indicate the presence of water vapor. Finally, they are passed through a calcium hydroxide solution to indicate the presence of carbon dioxide.
